About Prism
What we offer is our full attention, brought to bear on every dimension of your financial life.
Why Prism
In the same way that Isaac Newton's prism separated white light that was already there into a full spectrum of rich color, our approach delivers a full spectrum of empathy, experience, and solutions to enhance what's already there in the lives of healthcare professionals.
Your financial life, much like that beam of light, contains more than appears on the surface. The work we do with you is less about adding something new and more about bringing focus and improvement to what's already there.
The way we work
As a healthcare professional, you operate in a world of high stakes, compressed time, and the expectation that you show up fully prepared for every patient. We take that standard seriously in our own work.
When you come to us, you can expect to be heard before you are advised. Expect a process that is structured, communication that is clear and consistent, and a partnership that pursues our mutual success. We do not rush the process, we do not trivialize complexity by providing simple answers, and we engage subject matter experts routinely.
Meet Renwick Brutus
Growing up in Guyana, life moved to the rhythm of the land. An agricultural economy teaches you things that no classroom can fully replicate: that what you plant today determines what you harvest tomorrow, that patience is not passive, and that the reward belongs to those who tend carefully and wait. Those lessons have remained with me through more than 30 years in this profession, and they shape the way I work with clients.
My career began in economics and accounting, and took me through institutions including Merrill Lynch, Bankers Trust, and Equitable, where I built a foundation for financial planning and wealth management that spans multiple market conditions. But what keeps me here, and what has kept me here all along, is the moment when a client sits down with a completed financial plan and visibly relaxes. When the weight of uncertainty lifts. When the path ahead is clear enough that they can get back to doing the work they love and living the life they've wanted.
Prism was founded in 1999 based on a particular belief: that financial security is not a luxury. When people are uncertain about their financial well-being, it quietly undermines everything else. Their best work, their best decisions, their best version of themselves. My focus is on helping clients create, grow, and manage their wealth in a way that supports the work and life that matter most to them.
Retirement planning and income distribution are of great significance to me: there is nothing quite like helping someone get to "play for pay." The point where work becomes a choice, not a necessity. Where they show up because they want to, not because they have to. Getting a client to that place is, for me, one of the most satisfying aspects of my work.
When sitting with a client for the first time, my favorite thing is simply to listen. Everyone has an origin story, a journey to where they are now, and a picture of where they want to go. No two are the same, and I never treat them as if they are.
Outside the office, you will most likely find me on a trail, somewhere in the Florida outdoors, or traveling somewhere new. As a member of the National Speakers Association, I stay connected to a community of professionals committed to helping others improve their lives. And at the center of everything is my family, who have been both my foundation and my reason to do meaningful work.

Meet Christine Daskais
Christine joined the firm in December 2025, bringing more than a decade of experience across nonprofit leadership, university finance, and research operations. Her background spans contract administration, grant management, procurement oversight, and the development of compliant procedures within complex, highly regulated environments — settings where the details matter and the margin for error is small.
She holds a master’s in public service management from DePaul University and studied at ICOF in France.
She has spent her career doing largely the same work regardless of the setting: understanding how a system functions, finding where it falls short, and building something better in its place.
At Prism, her focus is on building the foundation that supports the firm's growth and client experience. That has included developing brand materials, growing and maintaining the contact database, and ensuring clients have the reporting touchpoints that keep them informed and connected to the firm. She also supports the financial planning side of the practice, contributing where the need is greatest — whether that's client services, marketing, or operations.
Finance is a newer chapter for Christine, and she's fully engaged. She's currently completing her Series 65 coursework and finds the learning genuinely engaging. Coming to this industry without a lifetime of assumptions has made her a more careful, client-centered thinker — and that perspective serves our clients well, particularly those in demanding professions who deserve a firm as meticulous as they are.

I can say with complete confidence that he has each client's goals foremost when working with them. Feel comfortable and confident when you make the choice to partner with him. Thanks Renwick."
